DAMN WE HAVEN'T HEARD A REAL SONG ABOUT THE GHETTO SINCE '94.
Freddie Gibbs hailing from Gary, Indiana which for several years has been voted one of the top most dangerous cities in America. Gibbs is no strager to the hard life growing up on the eastside of Gary. After he was kicked out of Ball State on a football scholarship he was in and out of court and constantly struggling to hold a steady job. He began his rap career by just writing about his life and the life of his peers growing up in a urban community where they felt theier issues were being ignored by the establishment.

Freddie is heavily influenced by Tupac, whom is he compared to too, UGK and Geto Boyz. Freddie reps the Midwest hard, he began hustling his music to and for those living in Indiana. He quickly began drawing support all over the Midwest because of his unique flow, original style and personal lyrics that portray the struggle of a young black man growing up in the Midwest. His skills, wit and street credibility establish Freddie Gibbs as a true artist. Gibb states that he only raps about what he has done, been though and seen and refuses to speak about anything else.

Gibbs was voted in as one of XXL's top ten freshmen of 2010. He has already worked with producers, Block Bustaz, the Alchemist, and Just Blaze. Gibbs has been working on his new album Str8 Kill No Filla album. He has recently tweeted on that he has been recording with Bun B.
